Coquitlam Town Centre Fire Hall Addition

Aiming to provide an aesthetic link between old and new, as well as physical link between fire hall and administration, this project had many interesting challenges in achieving its goal of providing much needed additional space to the Coquitlam Fire Rescue Department. The two storey plus basement addition focused not only on providing an updated dispatch centre, training room and administration headquarters, but reorganizing of the access of public and private by providing a new front entrance. The design of the building further emphasizes this by using an energy efficient curtain wall system along the street facade to allow for transparency and visual access to what was previously a less publically accessible building.
