I’m most excited in architecture today about:
New ways to make structures sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Favourite space:
Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. This is one of the most stunning manmade structures I have ever seen, and the surrounding area is breathtaking.
A space that has affected me:
Almost all museums and memorials with a history about people or groups of people always affect me in some way. The design and presentation of information in these places also astounds me. A recent example is the Museum of the Second World War in Gdansk, Poland, which is also an incredible structure.
I wish I’d designed:
The attractions and trainline on Jungfrau Mountain in Switzerland. What a brilliant idea and an exciting challenge!
I chose Vancouver because:
Of the proximity to the mountains and the coast. I also love the outdoorsy lifestyle, and the milder climate compared to other parts of Canada appealed to me.
I’m inspired by:
My mum. She works all day with kids who have special needs and comes home and looks after my brother who has autism. She’s incredibly hard-working.
When I’m not working, you can find me:
Cooking, reading, off on a walk (ideally in nature), watching Netflix or out exploring new places.
