We are looking for an energetic, keen and enthusiastic intern architect who is looking to gain experience in construction administration across a variety of projects in a studio setting. This is your chance to learn and participate in all aspects of this key phase of a project process and increase your experience working on institutional and public projects.
This is a full-time position. Candidates will have an interest in working as part of a team, a strong work ethic and share a keen interest in the pursuit of architectural challenges. We are specifically seeking a new team member with studio experience who is proficient in Revit.
Qualifications
Candidates must be able to legally work in Canada, have a degree from a recognized university and have experience as outlined below:
- M.Arch. degree from an institution recognized by AIBC / CACB
- Already registered with AIBC as an Intern or have the ability to become registered as an Intern
- Previous architectural office experience is an asset but not a requirement
- Experience in the creation of contract and bidding documents for civic and institutional projects
- Knowledge of the BC Building Code
- Proficiency in Revit Architecture 2018 or better is required, including but not limited to the tasks as outlined below:
- Experience in the development of working drawings using Revit
- Ability to modify the properties of the model in a timely manner while respecting the multiple-user, work-sharing process characteristic of Revit
- Seamless transition from Revit to Sketchup and Autocad and vice-versa
- Extensive knowledge and job-related experience with the following additional computer programs: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Sketch-up Pro, including experience in architectural rendering
At the time of interview, candidates will be expected to show work samples and demonstrate experience with submission documents.
Salary range is dependent upon demonstrated experience.

The successful candidate should possess the following:
- Experience with proposal writing.
- Degree in Communications or Marketing.
- 3-5 years minimum office experience.
- A strong set of demonstrable skills in web design and social media.
- A keen eye for graphics and understanding our brand.
- Familiarity with implementing graphic design layout of promotional materials and experience in desktop publishing.
- An understanding of business to business marketing including executing business development initiatives.
- Familiarity with British Columbia and municipal processes is an advantage.
- Ability to bring expertise in marketing and adapt to the architectural world.
- Must be proficient in a web design platform such as Dreamweaver or Word Press; as well as experience in using InDesign, Photoshop and Hootsuite.
- Valid Class 5, BC Driver’s License.
