IPD
IPD is firehall delivery of the future

JDa's latest innovation in design is implementing the integrated project delivery (IPD) method. IPD is a design method that collaborates between disciplines and forms a team to tackle a project. At JDa, we pride ourselves on doing projects with an IPD method, and we have delivered and introduced a LEAN process that helps build on efficient and cost-effective methods. JDa has successfully designed and constructed multiple firehalls with the IPD method, including the current sister halls for the City of Burnaby Firehall #4 + #8. With the mindset and attitude of "one team, one voice," the never-ending debate between the architect and the engineers suddenly disappears. We work together harmoniously to provide clients with the building of their needs and wants within the budget. At JDa, we continue to work on IPD projects as it is the next step forward in construction methodology from the beginning to the end of the project.
