Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta with a major in fine arts and a minor in math; Master of Architecture from Carleton University

Notable accomplishments/awards:

I bring to JDa:
Critical thinking and a sense of humour.

Path to architecture:
I started my studies very generally and narrowed down to architecture because it offered an ideal outlet for my practical skills and creative interests.

Earliest architectural memory:
Making forts in various household nooks; creating imagined homes out of fallen trees in the forest.

Wood or steel?:
Steel!

Pen, pencil or mouse?
Pen.

I chose Vancouver because:
As a prairie kid, visiting Vancouver was always such a treat – I love being surrounded by the mountains and the sea.

I’m concerned about:
Reducing material consumption.

I can’t live without:
My bicycle / the advice of my sisters.

I’m my best self when:
I’ve had a good night’s sleep.
