I grew up:
In Olympia, Washington. Go Bears!
Education:
University of Oregon – B. Arch, Centre for Digital Media – M. Digital Media
Notable accomplishments/awards:
I got a tigers’ eye rock in Middle School for being “most unique”
I chose JDa because:
Of the IPD process we use to deliver the best emergency/post-disaster buildings possible.
I bring to JDa:
An upbeat attitude and dad-puns.
Path to architecture:
After school in Eugene Oregon, I came up to Vancouver to study how virtual reality (and other technologies) could be applied to the architectural practice.
My design philosophy:
People-centric approach, where every end user feels seen and listened to throughout the design process. The building should reinforce human connection through its design intent.
Materials that excite me:
Mass timber!
Go-to morning drink:
Gotta be an oversized mug of good coffee
10. Wood or steel?:
Wood: reliable and renewable. Low embodied carbon too!
