Business Development Coordinator

Mary Fowler

I grew up:
In Victoria B.C.

Education:
The University of British Columbia: Bachelor of Arts, Political Science & Master of Business Management.

Notable accomplishments/awards:
Receiving my Masters through UBC’s B+MM accelerated graduates degree program.

I chose JDa because:
I wanted to work for a company that is dedicated to helping build strong communities.

I bring to JDa:
A business mindset combined with a passion for architecture and construction. While in school I knew I wanted to go into the building and design industry, so I tailored my education with this focus in mind. I learned the best business tactics and strategies to help JDa continue to excel, and I look forward to using my creativity to help with future promotional initiatives!

I’m drawn to design because:
I am inspired by the way design has the ability to shape and build environments that can positively impact people’s lives. Although I am not an architect, I have an immense appreciation for the creativity and dedication that goes into design and have always been drawn to the aesthetic nature of the craft.

When I’m not working you can find me:
Reading, writing, playing card games, trying to cook (I’m slowly learning), spending time with my family, friends, and my dogs.

Skill still unmastered:
Getting anywhere without the help of google maps.

The best pizza topping in my opinion is:
Ham, cheese (and lots of it), with feta, and fresh tomatoes. (Tom’s House of Pizza in Calgary has the best!)

Go-to morning drink:
English breakfast tea with milk and lots of honey, or an iced matcha if it’s hot out.

Best way to decompress:
Wine.
